We spent Christmas in Nevada this year at Grammy Jo and Bampa's. Everyone except for Cassidy and James were able to be there and we had such a fun time. On Christmas Eve we put on a Nativity that was the cutest thing I ever saw. The cast:
Isaac was a shepard.
Finley (or, thinny Finney Lynney) was baby Jesus, since she was the least chunky of the babies.
Joshie was the angel.
Rhys was a wise man with his box of treasures.
And tia Lexi was Joseph.
Bampa read from the scriptures while the kids acted out their parts. It was a little tricky getting certain participants to keep their costumes on long enough to do their part. It was so adorable, and I just can't believe that Grammy Jo had all of the makings for the cutest nativity ever just sitting around her house!

she happened to have a manger laying around? thats my kind of gal. i love that you all have to juggle between the thinny and the chunky too. so do we, but ours isn't as gender appropriate as yours. glad you had a merry christmas
That looks like fun - especially love the donkey! Cute, cute, cute! Sam
And the TV provided the Christmas star for the picture! You should say you planned that. :)
Very cute nativity. We acted the nativity out at our house too, but it wasn't as fancy as yours. Hey, I don't have your e-mail address. Will you leave me your address on my blog? I'd love to get the details on those types. I thought I had them all fixed.
Oh, they look so cute! I love that tradition...actually we do that in our family too (or at least I usually convince my sister-in-laws to let their kids participate :)
That looks so cute! I wish we could have been there. We really liked seeing John's video though, which included the nativity. "Oh please!"
that is so cute!
My family does one every year and it's so much fun! Thanks for stopping by and for the yummy chocolates, you're great!
Good thing you captioned it or I would have mistakenly given you acting credit for the role of Joseph as I scrolled down there.
An adorable production all around!
That was a very impromtu production that actually turned out better than if we had spent hours planning it! And yes, Meghan, I did happen to have a manger lying around. A leftover prop from a Relief Soceity prodution in some previous year. I knew it would come in handy one day.I think this will definitely be a new Keel Family tradition!
