Smiley

Seriously, I have never seen a little girl smile so much. She smiles and giggles all day long. When she is occasionally not happy, there is usually a good reason. (She has just been closelined by Isaac, Sareny is hugging her tightly and not letting her move, you get the picture.)

I had a really difficult time narrowing down the pictures from our little photoshoot to include in this post, there were just so many cute ones.

She made this face when the phone rang.
I seriously think she loves posing for the camera! I'm kind of wondering if she has a modeling career in her future.

I love my little sweetie.

She loves giving those precious open-mouth baby kisses. Today, when I said "Kisses," she said, "sisses" back to me several times.

I just can't imagine life without my little Finney Lynney.

Gratuitous pictures of Finley and her teeth

It seems that Finley has been absent (at least photographically) from the last few posts, so I thought I would include a few here. She has the cutest little smile. But look at those toofey's!

She started squinting from the flash.

She is such a little sweetie, and so independent. She is quite content to crawl around and play for quite a while, at least until an older sibling comes and bothers her. She doesn't like them to pick her up, take toys from her, touch her, or just generally disturb her. Of course, they want to do those things all the time, and she has gotten quite good at squacking when they do.

This past weekend she figured out how to climb up the stairs, all the way to the top. We were all sitting in the family room together when Isaac asked, "Where Hin?" I found her upstairs playing, all by herself. Yesterday, the gate was up blocking the stairs from the third step up, and she climbed up to it and stood there screaming because she couldn't go all the way up. Anyway, she's a cutie and we love her!

A sweet baby girl

I haven't posted many photos of little Finley Lynn lately, so I thought I would delight you all with these beauties. She has the cutest little grin and smiles like crazy at the slightest bit of encouragement. We call her smiley.

Isaac is such a cute big brother. He rushed over to give his sissy a hug and even smiled at the camera!

little chefs

Sareny and Isaac were playing kitchen and Sare decided they needed to wear chef hats. She wanted me to wear one too, but sadly, they wouldn't fit on my head. However, being the smart little problem solver that she is, she improvised and put a pair of her panties on my head. It's unfortunate Keith isn't here to take a group photo.
Also, does everybody have trouble keeping clothes on their kids, or is it just me??

I have realized that Isaac doesn't like getting his picture taken. I have to chase him down every time and have used Brandi's "there's a spider on my head" trick a couple of times to get him to look at me.

Fin Lynn is so sweet--whenever I lay her down to change her diaper, she just smiles and smiles at me. She must know a nice airing out is coming!

She's a talka-to me!

The title needs to be read in an Italian accent, as from Lady and the Tramp. Little Finley Lynn, who turned two months old today, has started talking and cooing at me. It is so adorable! She is getting to be so much fun, and we love her so much.

baby smiles

There is just something special about a tiny baby's smile. It starts in their eyes, and then slowly, their mouth decides it wants to smile at you too. It has got to be the most precious thing in the whole world.
As a new mom, (for the third time) I need those smiles. I crave them. For the first six weeks of my baby's life, I watch for them, hope for them, search for even the tiniest hint of them. And then, finally, she smiles at me. Her smiles validate my entire existence.

Eyes open, expressions pleasant, this one's a keeper!

Finley finally opened her eyes and was calm, so I snapped a couple of pictures. Usually if she is awake, she is flailing her arms and legs around, and quite possibly screaming. :(

I put her on her tummy and she seemed to like it okay. She looked like she was trying to crawl.

She looked like she was smiling in this picture!
Snuggling with mommy.
