A Black Bath

Isaac got some color tablets in his stocking at Christmas that you put in the bathtub to turn the water blue, red, or yellow. As an aside here, I personally feel that blue is the only acceptable color--who really wants to take a red or yellow bath?? That's just kind of ew. Even more frightening, however, is a black bath.
This is what results when your older sister leaves your container of bath colors in the tub with the lid partially screwed on and your mom doesn't notice until the water has completely saturated all of the tablets...
At that point, we decided to just dump the whole thing into the tub for one glorious, color-filled bath.
I don't actually think I could have made myself get into that water if you paid me, but Isaac was willing and actually bathed in that before school one day. Kind of crazy.

A Sink Built for Two

It is a well known fact around here that Finley needs a bath every day. Let's face it, when you have a four and a half year old that potties in pullups all day long but wants to cuddle up on your lap, well, you can imagine why the baths are vital.
Keeley was having a sink bath in Grammy's sink, and I decided the other side of the sink looked big enough for Finley Lynn, so it was a double bath.
The girls were pretty adorable and had fun splashing in Grammy's sink.

How much longer...

will my baby girl be able to take a bath in the bathroom sink? Not much.

I put the two older kids in the tub tonight and planned on sticking Finley in with them, but when I saw how absolutely filthy the bathwater was, there was no way I was going to put her in there. Sareny and Isaac had been playing outside all day, and I'm telling you, that water was so dirty and full of grass I had to drain it and rinse them in new water. In fact, when I removed Isaac's diaper, his little bottom was completely covered with dried grass...So into the sink went little Fin Lynn.

I love her cute little smile and dimple. Sometimes I just despair at how fast they grow up. Other times, I must admit I'm grateful. :) But for now, we will cherish her little chubby thighs and cute little grins.

Bubble Bath

On our last visit to Nevada, the kids had a bubble bath in Grammy Jo and Bampa's huge jet tub. I put in what I thought would be the right amount of bubbles, but I didn't take into account the jets. I have never seen so many bubbles! Poor Isaac was barely able to stick his head above the bubbles, and once he was out we turned the jets on again and let the bubbles get all the way to the top for Sareny to play in. She made herself a beautiful dress!
