In My Grandmother's Old Fashioned Garden

After leaving Grammy Jo and Bampa's house, we drove up and stopped in Scipio to visit Grandma and Grandpa Quarnberg. Unfortunately, when we got there, they were not home, so we looked around their garden for a while and took some cute pictures of the kids. I love the rock in the above picture--when I was little it was always the spot for a cute cousins picture.
Keeley had fun exploring around after sitting in the van for most of the day.
Grandma always has lots of pretty flowers growing in her garden. Behind the kids is grandpa's work truck and haystack.
 Cute little sissies!
Finley and Isaac sitting on the rock. I believe my grandpa gave this rock to my grandma for an anniversary present many years ago.
Finley climbing the rock, with grandma's house in the background. I love their little covered porch--it is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the day.
My silly IJ Isaac!

Finley girl in front of the large tree in their front yard.
 Sareny by the same tree.
Finley found a dandylion, made a wish, and blew on it.
And then she did it one more time.
The other kids thought that looked like fun, so they each grabbed a dandylion too.
Wish I knew what they wished for.
And a parting shot of IJ on the rock.
Even though my grandparents weren't home, we still had a nice time in their garden.

Bampa's Birthday

When we asked the kids what they wanted to do for summer vacation, they really wanted to take a trip like we did last summer up to Utah to visit grandparents and cousins. We stopped at Grammy and Bampa's on Bampa's birthday, so we headed to Mesquite to party it up.
Keeley was a little reluctant with Grammy, but for some reason, didn't hesitate with Bampa, as evidenced by the photos above and below.
We went to dinner at a fun Japanese restaurant where they prepare your food at your table. We took a group shot on this bridge.
Cute kids on the bridge.
Here is half of our table. Finley was extremely scared of the flames the chefs occasionally make shoot up, and she wouldn't come and sit down at our table. Even though the chef wasn't even there yet.
Then all the kids decided they were scared of the flames, and covered their ears to protect themselves...
It was a pretty fun experience watching the chef make the food.
And the food was super good. Of course, Keith wouldn't know that, because Keeley behaved so very badly, he had to leave the restaurant with her several times. You can see she looks a little grouchy in the photo below. But she just wanted to scream and scream, even if someone was holding her and standing up with her. There was absolutely nothing that would make her happy.
Finally, after his food had gotten cold, Ketih was able to come in and eat and KeeKee sat on my lap.
Despite her misbehavior, it was really a fun place. I'd like to go back...without Keeley.
Grammy Jo made some delicious cupcakes--Reese's and red velvet.
We sang to Bampa, and he blew out the candes.
We all had a great time!

Disneyland--the play

The kids put on a play about a family that goes to Disneyland. It was so cute and creative, and they put a lot of work into their pictures. Sareny drew the kids--Finley, Isaac, and Sareny (although Finley colored her girl herself.)
This was the family's house on the outside and the inside, both drawn by Sareny. I like the tables and chairs and the colorful rug.
Then they got to Disneyland. Here is the castle and the flower gardens out front, drawn by Sareny.
The family met some Disneyland characters--left to right Buzz Lightyear (Isaac), Minnie Mouse (Finley), Cinderella (Sareny), and Donald Duck (Isaac).
Finley drew this girl, and I think it was supposed to be Daisy Duck.
Finley drew people on her favorite ride--the Merry-go-round. Yes, at Disneyland it is actually a Carousel meaning that all the animals on the ride are horses, but she has always called it the merry-go-round, so we are sticking with that.
Isaac drew the family on California Screamin'.
Finley drew the Silly Symphony Swings.
And while I love all the pictures in the collection, this following one has to be my favorite--people standing in line. I just love the look on that guy who is the last one in line. Yeah, you're in for a long wait, buddy.
Especially if they were in line for the submarines. That line is always bad! Sareny drew this picture.
I loved their play and thought it was so adorable! They worked so hard on it drawing all the different rides and sceneries. It was awesome! There were quite a few other pictures in the play, but I just showcased my favorites.

Keeley and Markers

Seriously, this girl loves climbing up and getting the markers and as soon as she does--she immediately colors all over her face with it. She is so proud.
 She just looks so silly!
I'm sure it's my fault for taking her picture when she does things like this, but how could you not with a cute little face like that?

Date Night

Isaac and Daddy went on a date to the movies and saw a movie. Our kids really love getting to spend special, one on one time with Mommy and Daddy, and we love it too!
 My two favorite boys!
So glad our kids like spending time with us!

Just a Day

I'm not sure who took these next pictures--but I'm guessing Isaac. These are from July, and you can see that Hillari's homeschool was still in full swing--open math books on the table behind Keeley.
 This silly little grin!
 Me playing on my ipod.
Whoever was behind the camera followed Keeley around on her path of destruction. You can see that she knocked over the fan in the background.

We love our baby girl!
Finley had a turn playing on Isaac's ipod.
And a parting shot of KeeKee.
