the best sugar cookies ever

My mom's sugar cookie recipe really makes the best cookies in the world. I thought I would include the recipe here in case any of you are in the mood to try them out. They're delicious!

Farm House Cookies
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. baking powder
4 1/2 cups flour
1/2 salt

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, continuing to beat. Add sour cream and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Roll on floured board, fairly thick. Cut into shapes and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Frost.

I like to make a cream cheese frosting to go on top. Enjoy!

If I end up eating sugar cookies & dough for the rest of the month, I know who's responsible for loading the bowl...

me. But, if it turns out great, you'll get *all* the credit
