September

One Friday in September, I dropped Keith and the kids off at the Children's Museum and then I went to a doctor appointment. While we waited for the museum to open, I sat the kids on this wall to take a couple pictures, and then I left the camera with Keith and went to my appointment. Any guesses how many more pictures were taken on this outing? :)
Yep, that would be it. Keeley can be quite mischievous, and on occasion she has been sent to the corner.
Why is it just so cute to see her sticking her nose right into the corner? Even funnier is when she puts herself in the corner for no reason at all.
One day, Finley was lying on the floor and KeeKee came over and laid down right on top of her and gave her a hug.
It was so sweet and cute! Love those girls.

The Dinosaur Museum

Our last morning in Lehi, we went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. It was a lot of fun! They had a hands-on room with some fun things to play with.
The kids had fun making parachutes.
Then they put them in a wind tunnel that launched them into the air.
 It was pretty cool!

They played with these magnets things, and Josh made a face.
They built some structures using Keva Planks.
Then we went on to the dinosaur portion of the museum.
We played with this sand and water table and built a pretty cool dam. Plus they had little plastic dinosaurs that I would hide in piles of sand for the kids to dig up.
Keeley loved playing in the water.
This shark is massive. Truly. I don't say this about many animals, but I am so glad these guys are extinct. I can't imagine ever even dipping a toe in the ocean with these brutes swimming around.
 We were all appropriately frightened.
The last room was a giant sandbox. The kids loved it, but the air was full of sand.
Keeley was a good girl and had fun with us.
 Charlie playing with the sand.
 IJ uncovering some dino bones.
If you look at the side of the building directly over the green awning, you can see a sign that says Keeley's Ice Cream. We had to take a picture!
We left about mid-day and drove straight through to Phoenix. We would have stopped over for a night at Grammy Jo's, but they were living it up in Cancun at the time, so we stopped in to drop something off and then went on our way. It was a fun summer trip!

Celebrating at the CMOP

We went to the Children's Museum on a random friday in June and discovered after we got there that they were celebrating their 5th birthday and admission was discounted to $5--not my first choice for visiting. But they had some fun special events going on, like face painting.
Finley was in a strange mood and wouldn't sit down to get her face painted. Then when I sat down with Keeley, she changed her mind. You can see in the photo below how happy she was. Keeley was really cute and leaned very still on me while they painted a little fish on her cheek.
Then Finley came over to get her face painted, but was still throwing a fit and pouting, so it was a little embarrassing.
Isaac chose a spider dangling from a web, and he wanted the spider right on his nose.
Sareny picked a unicorn.
Keeley's little fish looked so cute.
Finley didn't pose for a picture by herself, but she got a dolphin.
I took the girls to the art room, where Finley told me she didn't want to paint on the rocket.
Except then she guessed maybe she did, but she did it with a pout on her face.
Finally, when we moved over to one of the craft tables, she was in a normal mood and was pleasant to be around. Keith took Isaac to the fort room, because he isn't that into arts and crafts.
Isaac tried to ride this trike, but was not too happy when the girls jumped on for a ride. He was trying really hard, but it was just not going anywhere and he was a bit frustrated.
I took Keeks to the baby room, and she had fun. She was blowing/vibrating her lips.
Then she decided to blow on her hand.
Then she smashed her face up against the net.
She quite likes this fan that blows straight up from the ground when you step near it.
She kept coming back to it.
While Sareny and Finley prepared us some delicious food, Isaac and Keeley serenaded us with these pipes.
Despite being crowded, it was a fun day. My favorite activity was the special photo booth they had set up on the first floor, but I can't find the cute picture we got of the three kids who were cooperating--I'll scan it in when I find it. Any guesses who was in a grouchy mood and wouldn't get in the picture?

We Went Back...

We went back to the Children's Museum just before Father's day. The kids all made a cute tie craft for their daddy.
This time the rocket was a fiery orange color--kind of awesome.
We stuck some stickers on Keeley for earrings.
This time, they had a table set up with glitter playdough. All the fun of playdough, but I don't have to worry about smooshed playdough on my floors and carpets, or the yucky dried up mess when the kids leave it out and don't clean up after themselves.
The kids couldn't think what to make, so I told them each to make a turtle. Here are there creations. Sareny's above, Finley's below.
Isaac's turtle, with a giant arrow pointing it out.
We stayed at the playdough table for a while.
While the big kids played with playdough, the even bigger kid made this cute headband thing for KeeKee at a different craft table.
Isaac made this cool volcano.
There was a lady making some pretty cool creations for her daughter, and Sareny got some good ideas from her. From top to bottom--a bird, her turtle, a snake, a heart, and an elephant.
Little Rivvy girl quite likes the Children's Museum.
There was another room set up for arts and crafts, and the kids cut out a hug.

The kids always love the fort room. Except when they have to tell people, "You're hogging all the supplies." Which was, of course, out of line and I told them they couldn't say that to people. Plus also, my kids are usually the culprits hogging the supplies.
They're getting pretty good at building fort conglomorations.
KeeKees likes to give kisses in between bars and holes
Checking for mail.
A cute baby girl in a milk crate.
I do like that most of the museum is pretty baby friendly!
Sareny gave Finley a ride.
And she tried giving Keeley a ride, but that didn't work out so well.
And then Lexi gave Finley and Sareny a ride.
Isaac grabbed a lift from this random girl.
And KeeKee explored in the baby room.
We managed to only spend about three hours there this time, and again, the kids could have been there all day.
