The Tracy Bird Aviary

We visited the Tracy Bird Aviary in Salt Lake one day. Generally, birds are my least favorite animals to look at, but there were some pretty cool birds here. We also watched a pretty fun bird show--that was my favorite part.
I think when the kids turned this wheel, it made some spinners move at the top.
 Happy Keeley and her daddy.
The kids took turns peeking out of these fish heads. Above is Finley and Sareny.
Katlyn and Tyler.
Sareny and Tyler.
Isaac and Keeley.
Katlyn and Finley.
The kids played in the sand for a while.
My cute Keekee.
The girls were birds.
We listened to a presentation by a river, and the kids got to look for things in the river. Sareny found a shell.
I think they liked poking around in the water.

Then I looked over at Keeley and daddy and saw this happening!
Up, then down--with her arms spread out wide.
And back up with a smile.
This one is blurry--but I love the happy smile and the crazy hair.
The kids spun around on this thing, and then we headed home.

BYU Cougars Rule!

After our visit with grandparents, we continued onward in our journey and stayed with Noel and Jewell for a few days. We had so much fun hanging out, relaxing, and playing games, and the kids loved being with their cousins. One day, we all headed over to BYU to check out the campus. We stopped by the admin building to see Jewell's siser, who works there. She is in the above picture, because Tyler would only be in the picture if she was in it too. I think you can tell she didn't really want to be though!
We went to the Creamery on 9th for lunch and ice cream. It was fun, but extremely slow.
We also went to the bookstore and the EYC. Then we showed the kids the underground library, which they are lieing on top of. You can see the 'Y' in th background.
Here they are with the admin building behind them. I would love it and (and they would too) if all of these kids were able to go here to school someday...admission is tough though, so we'll see what happens!
Sareny and Katlyn--cute cousins in front of the library.
On our way out, they posed by some of the sculptures. Not sure which picture I like best, but I put both because I like Isaac's tough guy pose in the bottom one.

These three cousins wanted me to take their picture by this sculpture. Love them!
Then they all ran over to be in a picture.
Finley with Ian. He was so much bigger and had grown up a ton since we saw them last summer! We had a fun time touring the campus with our family.

In My Grandmother's Old Fashioned Garden

After leaving Grammy Jo and Bampa's house, we drove up and stopped in Scipio to visit Grandma and Grandpa Quarnberg. Unfortunately, when we got there, they were not home, so we looked around their garden for a while and took some cute pictures of the kids. I love the rock in the above picture--when I was little it was always the spot for a cute cousins picture.
Keeley had fun exploring around after sitting in the van for most of the day.
Grandma always has lots of pretty flowers growing in her garden. Behind the kids is grandpa's work truck and haystack.
 Cute little sissies!
Finley and Isaac sitting on the rock. I believe my grandpa gave this rock to my grandma for an anniversary present many years ago.
Finley climbing the rock, with grandma's house in the background. I love their little covered porch--it is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the day.
My silly IJ Isaac!

Finley girl in front of the large tree in their front yard.
 Sareny by the same tree.
Finley found a dandylion, made a wish, and blew on it.
And then she did it one more time.
The other kids thought that looked like fun, so they each grabbed a dandylion too.
Wish I knew what they wished for.
And a parting shot of IJ on the rock.
Even though my grandparents weren't home, we still had a nice time in their garden.

Disneyland--the play

The kids put on a play about a family that goes to Disneyland. It was so cute and creative, and they put a lot of work into their pictures. Sareny drew the kids--Finley, Isaac, and Sareny (although Finley colored her girl herself.)
This was the family's house on the outside and the inside, both drawn by Sareny. I like the tables and chairs and the colorful rug.
Then they got to Disneyland. Here is the castle and the flower gardens out front, drawn by Sareny.
The family met some Disneyland characters--left to right Buzz Lightyear (Isaac), Minnie Mouse (Finley), Cinderella (Sareny), and Donald Duck (Isaac).
Finley drew this girl, and I think it was supposed to be Daisy Duck.
Finley drew people on her favorite ride--the Merry-go-round. Yes, at Disneyland it is actually a Carousel meaning that all the animals on the ride are horses, but she has always called it the merry-go-round, so we are sticking with that.
Isaac drew the family on California Screamin'.
Finley drew the Silly Symphony Swings.
And while I love all the pictures in the collection, this following one has to be my favorite--people standing in line. I just love the look on that guy who is the last one in line. Yeah, you're in for a long wait, buddy.
Especially if they were in line for the submarines. That line is always bad! Sareny drew this picture.
I loved their play and thought it was so adorable! They worked so hard on it drawing all the different rides and sceneries. It was awesome! There were quite a few other pictures in the play, but I just showcased my favorites.
