A Visit to Santa

Just before my family headed back home, we made one last trip to the mall to sit on Santa's lap. I stood in the line while Bampa took the kids to a store to make the waiting go a little faster.
I must say I was a little surprised that the kids all enjoyed their sit on his lap and nobody screamed or cried.

Sareny informed us as we pulled into the mall parking lot that she was going to tug on his beard to see if he was the real Santa, (We've been watching Miracle on 34th St.) but in the excitement of the moment, she forgot to give it a tug. (thank goodness!)

Originally, both Sareny and Isaac were going to ask Santa for bikes, but Sareny has now decided that she wants a baby doll--the one that brushes it's teeth and says, (this is the most important part) "bye bye pee pee! bye bye poo poo!" She actually sat on his lap and told him that, but we'll have to see what Santa decides...
A couple of years ago Grammy Jo bought this adorable little headband for Sareny, which fit Finley's little head perfectly. Sareny was a little miffed that she didn't get to wear the headband, so at the last minute I sat down and made her some little red Christmas bows.
Don't you just want to give these little cheeks a squeeze and a kiss?
So everybody is getting pretty excited for Christmas around here. Time to get out the tree and advent calendar!

I miss the Christmas' past when my kids wanted cheap stuff like dolls and bikes, now they want cell phones and ipods and even laptops!!! I think they'll all end up with a pile of coal!

My kids always cry when they see Santa, although Denver and I had a little talk and I told him the truth about Santa this year. It was a little sad to tell him and Shane was mad at me.

Such cute pictures! Sareny's hair looks really cute, and yes I do want to pinch little Finley's cheeks! What a cutie.

P.S. Santa looks like Sean Connery...

So cute! Those pictures turned out great! I love the one with all three kids!
I am not brave enough to see Santa at the mall. The ward Christmas party will have to suffice for my kids. Maybe no one will scream this year.

Looks like the real Santa to me. By the way we spent the weekend before making all the gingerbread. We were all going to have the same houses but Josh and Trevor wanted to step it up and designed a new bigger version. It took forever but it smelled good and it was a lot of fun. I hope to do it again next year.

Cute bows Hillari! Your family picture is so cute, too--you're so good to post pics of your whole family. My kids are going to look back through our albums and wonder what I looked like. And Jonathan is way jealous that Sareny got to see Santa already =)

Hill all the pics turned out so cute. The kids all look adorable! I love that one of you and Finley. So cute. And the family one is Christmas card material! (and it was my idea, you know.)

Cute pics! Sadly enough we have never lived in a town big enough to even have a mall since Joben was born! LOL. I wonder what my kids would do if I took them somewhere (Denver maybe?) to sit on Santa's lap...
