All Hallow's Eve

I believe this is the first year in the history of the Fallstrom family that I did not make the kid's Halloween costumes. (Of course, there was the year Grandma Nancy was here and did most of the costume making, but still...) These costumes were 100% not made by me or anyone I know. Probably somebody in China worked hard over them. Despite the non-homemade-ness of their costumes, I still think the kids look darn cute!
Finley and Keeley's costumes came from Costco. Such adorable little princesses!
Love that silly scrunched face!
Isaac's costume was borrowed from a neighbor. He didn't love this costume, probably because he doesn't have a clue who Zorro is. He still looks adorable though!
I think this costume actually shows off his beautiful blue eyes!
I think the stores have a deplorable lack of cute boy costumes, and we just didn't see anything in the store worth getting, so we had a masked avenger.
Like the other girls, Sareny was also a princess. My friend Aubrey purchased this adorable costume years ago before she even had a daughter of her own. Her daughter, who is 4, refuses to wear anything girly, so Aubrey was going to sell this online. I offered to buy it from her, and she kindly gave it to us! It is so gorgeous, and so is the girl wearing it. :)
The girls love Halloween because it is one of the few times in the year when they are allowed to wear makeup.
Another picture of princess Finley. Who doesn't like you to call her princess Finley.
All the kids. Sareny had to hold Keeley or she would run away.
As evidenced by this photo, where she is indeed trying to get down and run away. But I loved the sweet little pose Finley was doing!
Then somehow we convinced Keeley not to run away.
My sweet, adorable children!
I made up another tray of strawberry ghosts and eyeballs on forks for a party we were going to at our friends the Wray's. We had a fun evening with friends eating, chatting, and trick-or-treating together.

Visiting with grandma and grandpa

After hanging out in their garden for a while, I decided we should drive down to my uncle Von's house and see if they were over there. We found them, and they came back to their house with us. Isaac sat on Grandma's lap.
Grandpa held Keeley for a minute, although she wasn't too happy about it.
I took a picture of the kids with both their grandparents.
Then I took one with just grandpa...
and just grandma.
We took a family photo by the rock.
And I wanted a picture of me with my grandparents.
Then we sat on their porch for a while and visited. It sprinkled a little and the kids ran around in the rain while we watched and talked.
 It was a lovely afternoon.
I love how joyeous children are
Keeley doesn't much appreciate raindrops pelting her bald little head, but Sareny took her in the rain for a bit.
I love visiting my grandparents!

In My Grandmother's Old Fashioned Garden

After leaving Grammy Jo and Bampa's house, we drove up and stopped in Scipio to visit Grandma and Grandpa Quarnberg. Unfortunately, when we got there, they were not home, so we looked around their garden for a while and took some cute pictures of the kids. I love the rock in the above picture--when I was little it was always the spot for a cute cousins picture.
Keeley had fun exploring around after sitting in the van for most of the day.
Grandma always has lots of pretty flowers growing in her garden. Behind the kids is grandpa's work truck and haystack.
 Cute little sissies!
Finley and Isaac sitting on the rock. I believe my grandpa gave this rock to my grandma for an anniversary present many years ago.
Finley climbing the rock, with grandma's house in the background. I love their little covered porch--it is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the day.
My silly IJ Isaac!

Finley girl in front of the large tree in their front yard.
 Sareny by the same tree.
Finley found a dandylion, made a wish, and blew on it.
And then she did it one more time.
The other kids thought that looked like fun, so they each grabbed a dandylion too.
Wish I knew what they wished for.
And a parting shot of IJ on the rock.
Even though my grandparents weren't home, we still had a nice time in their garden.

Disneyland--the play

The kids put on a play about a family that goes to Disneyland. It was so cute and creative, and they put a lot of work into their pictures. Sareny drew the kids--Finley, Isaac, and Sareny (although Finley colored her girl herself.)
This was the family's house on the outside and the inside, both drawn by Sareny. I like the tables and chairs and the colorful rug.
Then they got to Disneyland. Here is the castle and the flower gardens out front, drawn by Sareny.
The family met some Disneyland characters--left to right Buzz Lightyear (Isaac), Minnie Mouse (Finley), Cinderella (Sareny), and Donald Duck (Isaac).
Finley drew this girl, and I think it was supposed to be Daisy Duck.
Finley drew people on her favorite ride--the Merry-go-round. Yes, at Disneyland it is actually a Carousel meaning that all the animals on the ride are horses, but she has always called it the merry-go-round, so we are sticking with that.
Isaac drew the family on California Screamin'.
Finley drew the Silly Symphony Swings.
And while I love all the pictures in the collection, this following one has to be my favorite--people standing in line. I just love the look on that guy who is the last one in line. Yeah, you're in for a long wait, buddy.
Especially if they were in line for the submarines. That line is always bad! Sareny drew this picture.
I loved their play and thought it was so adorable! They worked so hard on it drawing all the different rides and sceneries. It was awesome! There were quite a few other pictures in the play, but I just showcased my favorites.
